This is a scam where they pretend to be BT and will give you te above number to call with an id code to verify their authenticity. They tell you they want to shut down your Broadband for 5 days due to errors - blah blah. Probably after they will try to get access to your pc in some way. Don t know cos I crashed out and phoned BT who said it was a scam.
I have just called the number back for this and it advises it is for scottish power but it also advises a number to opt out of the telemarketing if you wish to do so 08452862192 it states the call will last no longer than 1 min
Got a call from these people now a tex i have no debt and dont no how they got my name and number us this a scam

Someone called Ian Rescola just called me and asked if I had a private pension and if so when did I last check it. I politely replied I m not interested in buying a pension thank you. He then tried to push further so I told him I was busy and didn t want to discuss the matter with him. He rudely answered That s your problem then . I calmly replied that it is not my problem but it is my business, and he put the phone down on me while I was still talking. Very rude!
Automated woman's voice leaving message on answerphone saying that there have been 2 charges on credit card, £300 for Amazon and £1100 for another service. After investigation no such charges appeared. This is a unsolicited call and scam. Beware and block this number.

Be aware people this could be just a money trap, who uses numbers with shared rate...? In most cases they just ring once to make you call them back. Did someone answer this number, some more info?
