Reports elsewhere suggest it s the tired old "home appliance insurance" scam.

Completely fed up with silent calls from this number . TPS has no effect . The Government need to step in and put a stop to it.

Just ring me and hang up on answering. I have a terminally ill parent and don't need this! Go forth and multiply

Calls for weeks, twice a day. Only an answer machine at the other end. Cannot understand what it says. Number is from Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, England.

Keeps calling but when I call back says I have dialled an incorrect number??!!

Call from company called Goodwin Barrett asking if I had any underperforming investments as they can help make a claim.

Phoned and left message to ring back. Gave a me a reference number and an extension number. Said they were from Lloyd's bank

Direct loan company. Not a scam, you've obviously made an application with them. An 0208 number is a standard landline number and not a premium rate number.
