I was called from 01733385646 and because I come from Peterborough I answered it. It was an automated voice stating that there had been a number of charges made against a card, going on to say that one was for Amazon. They were so obviously not from any bank as they did not say which bank, card, etc., Therefore I just put the phone down. When I tried to call the number back it went dead as if not recognised. Thus I conclude that this could be a scam!

Got a call from this number this morning. Allegedly from my Bank. It’s a scam do not respond.

Scam and/or phishing attempt. It attempted to get me to message the phone number via WhatsApp. The person had sent an SMS from another number (07566706069) claiming to have dropped their phone down the toilet and that they’d instantly acquired a new phone. They asked me to message specifically via WhatsApp (???). This is the fourth message I’ve had this week, from a variety of unknowns, being asked to message a new number by someone claiming to have lost/damaged their phone.

Spam. Was an automated message with threat that my internet is going to be disconnected. I have a BT line, so I put the phone down on it and then picked it up and waited for dial tone and then dialled 1572, which allowed me to block the last calling number. Not sure if that blocking facility works on other providers landlines. But worth a try. It's a neat facility.

Some one called on my partner's mobile phone - a number that she shares very rarely if not at all. Fraud These people are Scammers, They left a message saying there had been "Suspicious Activity" on my Bank account. Amazon was supposed to have taken £300 and £11,000 by Western Union. Then the usual press 1 to speak to the next available Scammer. Needless to say, there was NO money taken. They did not ask for anyone in particular and never mentioned any Bank
