Spam phone contract call. Ignore. They told me my phone was coming to the end of its contract and that my bill would go up 17% so they needed to look at saving me money with a new contract. This was all false information.
Missed a call to my mobile from this unknown local Nottingham number. Suspicious as I haven't given my number to any but a handful of friends, and my doctor/dentist/pharmacy. No message left. Another caller-trace service says this number was first detected 11 days ago, but there were no reports about it. When I checked 10 minutes ago, *this* service said there had been 16 searches in the last 10 days. Now when I've returned 20 minutes later it says there have been 20 searches. scam call. apparently from my mobile provider and I have been selected to have my bill reduced, I asked who my provider was, they couldn't answer, and then asked how much it would be reduced too and they then asked for my last bill, I said if they are my provider they know how much my bill is and then the phone went down, they will try anything

Just social engineering to scare you and get your money. Do not answer this phone number although it wont be long in service. Scammers probably sit somewhere in India or East-Europe.

call from someone with a south Asian accent saying it was about my Amazon account. As Amazon never call anyone, I told to clear off and put the phone down.
Also getting calls from same number but ending 352. Left to answerphone, no message. Other, similar, numbers from this area code are reported as insulation scams, so that is a possibility.

Silent call - rang early morni9ng and when I picked up there was no voice, nothing. I said hello, but there was no reply - said it again and then the line went dead. Few people use our landline these days, and only numbers we recognise (family and friends) so I suspect this was spam.

Male non english accent called my landline from 07342065763 17 Jan 2023. Stated he was from Amazon security and that he had emailed me as someone had ordered a £600 phone on my account. I asked whose name was on the account as he said it was my name. I asked again whose name and he said D Maddison. When I say they don't live here he hung up. Obviously has some old phone records.

Bank Scam: Call to my landline - a recording of a female robotic voice with an American accent told me that 2 transactions has been made on my card that were potentially fraudulent. The recording went on to tell me the transaction details and told me to press 1 to authorise them or press 2 to speak to someone
Has called several times. This time I answered and it was a recorded voice saying a large amount is trying to be taken for a transaction if not you press 1 . If you press nothing it just cuts of and if you try to ring back it does ring at all. Possible scam.
Called around mid day to say my bank account had significant withdrawals and said press 2 to talk to an advisor. I suggested they did something physiologically impossible!

IT'S A DANGEROUS SCAM! A computer is dialling numbers in sequence to sniff out voice lines. If you speak then the line is detected as 'an active voice line' and logged as such, a scammer will then be calling you later, and usually using a different number! If you don't recognize the number calling DON'T SPEAK, JUST LISTEN! If you don't hear a voice and then the line goes dead then congratulations - you've just successfully escaped being scammed! THESE CALLS ARE HARASSING AND ALWAYS POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS!

After another threat they told me to press 1 to speak to the officer in charge of the case. At which point I hung.

Spam, an automatic voice said that was from HMRC, and they send me a letter for taxes refund.
Scam, they are calling using numbers from Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Bristol and using Mobiles. If you call them out on it they instantly hang up. I've had the same man on the phone 8 times now using different numbers.
