SCAM Automated message from 'Energy Hub' offering loft insulation inspections with free fitting. Said something about old insulation causing lung damage. Obviously a recording as when I asked a question the same words were repeated exactly. They eventually hung up. I would say that this is a scam.

At best this a company that breaks the PECR regulations by calling people on the TPS list. At worst it s a scam preying on older people because they don t seem to have a website and are asking whether you re over 65. I tried to book a room at The Principal Oxford Spires Hotel, Abingdon Road, OX1 4PS, Oxford and called a number 08448542910 indicated on their website. I had to call twice as there was an automated telephone service and no one was able to answer my phone calls. Last month I saw a charge of 1.38 GBP plus VAT on my phone bill!! What a wrong way to make money!! Looks like the hotel is doing that badly so they have to charge potential customers to simply book a room. According to the reviews on the above number

Just had call from this number purporting to be the National Crime Agency. This would have invited me to press 1 to avoid being arrested! I bet this number has been hacked by the scammers

I received a call from this number today with a message that my master card had been used abroad for a £600 purchase. I was asked to press one to confirm payment. I terminated the call and phoned the number back to be told that the number did not exist. The person was female with a very clear voice and English accent.
