Scam. They ask for personal information and try to steal your card details, acting in a professional manner over the phone call. Never reveal any personal info. Rather ask them to verify what they know about you and perhaps you may have a chance to find out where they got your phone number or data from.
Text message stating it was Octopus Energy. But I have an account and they normally contact via email. So I don’t trust it.
The number will get you to stay on the line and take money as it’s a premium line

Fraud Phone company is investigating this number based in Yorkshire as they found it was linked to my pay monthly account. So knew my personal details and set up a new line! I only found out about it due to a different investigation regarding “crossed lines” or someone basically listening in on my calls! Not only were they listening to calls but seemed to know who I was, this by quoting my full name before the call connected. I ONLY ever phone anonymously! ...we shall see...

This number called just before 7.00pm saying I owed approx £86 for Amazon. When I redialled the number it said not recognised.
Usual asian call center thicko scammer, claiming to be from social housing repair team, ffs, how thick can you get, if you're going to try scamming someone it has to be a believable company and the above certainly isn't that. They don't like being called liars either.
Did not answer.

I moved house four months ago. I have a private and protected landline number (used to be called ex-directory). I have a call from this number at 7.15 pm on a Sunday evening??? How and why?? SCAM This is sent from Evri apparently saying they couldn't deliver your parcel. Firstly I have no parcel coming from them, secondly I have EVRI app which tells me where my parcel has came from, who is delivering it etc coming from a small village our evri driver is known!

SCAM - Call to my landline at 9.53 today. It was a pre-recorded message saying they were querying a suspicious Debit Card payment of £600 sent abroad. They did not say what bank or give any other details. I was asked to press 1 to speak to someone or 2 to confirm. I hung up.
