Claimed to be from National Insurance Bureau and that I had been in an accident and I had ?3-4K to come as compensation. Foreign accent very difficult to understand. Very insistent bordering on unpleasant. Was on Gumtree yesterday posting an ad, sounds likely from other comments that they got my number from there.

This is a scam number for "Electric Yorkshire". avoid at all costs, they overcharge and try to add extra hidden charges. Calling to cancel, they will refuse to and try to scam you out of giving them more money. Luckily I was wise enough to not give them a penny. This company was originally using a landline number. They are now calling people from a bogus mobile number which shows up as 07463 804966. They are not legitimate and seeking additional info about you. When you call the mobile number back a recording says that the number is not recognised. Hang up or block them, but do not confirm your name or address as they ask you to do.
