On checking with O2 the above number and caller WAS a genuine call from O2. Apologies O2.

Asian sounding company keep phoning saying they are doing marketing, then proceed to ask a string of questions about age, marital status, life insurance, phone provider, IT provider, TV package provider. Just to confirm, after my previous post I reported this number to the police, who said it definitely is a scam, and that Microsoft would never call you about this sort of thing. These people will generally want remote access to your computer to "fix a virus" or something like that. They show you some files that they know every computer has and tell you they re harmful, which is completely untrue. They then use the remote access to steal from you. The number is an Aldershot number. Called and spoke to my young son asking for a Mr Rogers. Rang again the following morning. He was a polite enough guy but he wouldn t tell me anything. Quite obvious it was a debt collection agency. I asked him why he was still ringing when he was told the previous day there was no-one of that name against my home number and actually I had my number for over 11 years. He told me he was going to remove my number from his list. Very apologetic. We ll see......

Got a call around 16:30 - sounded like a call centre - gent with a strong Indian accent said he was calljng from Ringwood Council in Hampshire - I live in Dorset! Said something about an accident in the last two years - scam call - I hung up

Answered this call and was met with a dialling tone ... Googling the number showed it to be linked to "Ambulance Chasers". They won t get a chance to call again as I ve blocked it on my iPhone. I have been inundated with calls in the last week from different numbers, but don t know why as I HAVEN T had an accident! Hopefully the law will be changed soon to bin these nuisance calls.

This number rang advising illegal activity has taken place on my internet and I should press 1. Needless to say, I ignored this. Also rang again by 01633976572 saying the same.

Called 4 times yesterday and so far 3 times today. Really annoying me now!! They say they can get you ?3000 in compensation for PPI misspelling. They want to know every personal detail about you. I ve told them not to call again, but that was ignored!
