64057 is the number to text to STOP reciving messages from We Buy Any Car.com On my network, O2 this is rated as a premium rate number/service so I was charged 13p to opt out. I dont know if other mobile providers recognise this number as a premium rate number or not. WBAC stated that they operate this as a free service and the cost charged is from O2 in my instance. I know its not a biggie - but strange to be charged.

I think this is a marketing call. No message left, but they tried twice and the same day I received a call from a similar number with 2 different digits - again no message. When I called it (blocking my own number) there's an automated number saying the office is closed and it's 'something' communications (I didn't catch the first word). I figure if it was important / genuine they'd leave a message.

Cold-calling to do with promoting books on Amazon.com for self-published authors. I am not the person they’re trying to contact, although they have the same name. Poor research on their part. They also have my email address. It looks like a London number, but I’m not 100% convinced that it’s UK based. They referred to Amazon.com, not Amazon.co.uk. Caller had an American accent. I filled in a pile of crap and they only stopped me going further this time because they cannot count and apparently I am in London...news to me. The call came from Manchester yet again probably rerouted from a call centre abroad. I have blocked the number as always.
"Max" tel.no. 01292388212 called my house phone and asked for me by surname. I didn't confirm. He then told me that I didn't have cover for central heating. I said I have his number and will check with the fraud squad before following up. I then politely hung up. Maybe a legitimate cold call; but I wasn't interested to find out.
