This call said it was from BT concerning my router but they could hardly speak English so I hung up and blocked the number
soon as i picked up the phone the person the other end replaced receiver.

SCAM Message says that your internet and phone connection is going to be cut off, to stop it press 1, press 2 to go along with disconnection. Getting 3 or 4 of these a day, a different number each time but all 0161 numbers.

This number has been spoofed so that it appears as the CLI of the caller when it has no relationship to the people originating the call. This number was assigned to a legitimate business in Surrey. They have now changed their number. The spoofing still carries on and people are getting missed call messages with this number on their mobiles and landlines. 2nd call to landline in 10 days (1st differed by last 2 digits -15). I answer, it beeps then silence (same both times). Local area dialling code but that's no proof of locality these days. Unknown if scam but known as nuisance at any rate.

CVD, pain in the backside wanting me to renew my van insurance, these calls every hour or so plus calls and texts to my mobile and also emails. I ve been called daily by this number but I have a call blocker on my android phone called "Truecaller" (I am not a salesman) which filtered it straight away. It does have apps but is very effective for nuisance callers. Hope this helps.

claimed to be from my internet provider-asked me to confirm router was working ok as had received large volume of calls. When I advised I was not at home(despite the fact they had called my landline) heard whispered conversation with a workmate/supervisor,asked to perform the same check on router again I repeated that I was not at home.
