This UK mobile number called my mobile and it was an automated voice saying it was about my "Visa OR Mastercard" (which one?) and that £600 had been spent on it 15 minutes ago. Press 1 to stop the payment. I did not press anything and hung up.

Got a call from this number and when i answered it the phone went dead , looks like on these scam sites who use a computer to call numbers and if you answer they keep a record and then later on call you to sell you insurance etc.
Do not know this number. But it contacts at least twice a month.
Caller with an Asian accent said he was from o2 and I had been selected to have a 50% discount on my tariff. I have has these calls before and seemed to be an obvious scam, so I briefly went along… The caller said I would receive an email from o2 but first I would have to pass security and he would send me 2 links with questions. I have no clue who this is. They’ll ring my phone multiple times a day. The odd chance I do answer, I get nothing, just silence a bit of noise in the background then they’ll end the phone no matter how many times i say “Hello”.
Indian 'lady' called saying they were Right Energy part of uk-talk offering wholesale energy rates. Asked where she was located, she said Birmingham. After stringing her along for 10 minutes I asked what was happening with the Bull Ring, she clearly did not know what I was talking about especially when I asked if that's where she gets the bullsh*t from. Then said she was in Kolkata (aka Calcutta) not Birmingham. Said that I was in London helping police with scam callers - phone went dead!

Text scam. Seems like text message from Royal Mail re missed delivery. Link in text takes you to what appears to be Royal Mail website ( but is not ) and says £1.45 needed for redelivery. I did not go any further but I presume the next step would have been a request for bank or card details. I checked with Post Office and they confirm they do not send texts for failed deliveries - they still leave cards.
SPAM Random call, did not leave a message. I don't know or have dealings with anyone in Czechia so almost certainly a spam call, or worse.

I'm more and more convinced it is a scam. I was called this morning, by an automated voice, that there is a proceeding against me because I didn't pay my taxes, and if I want to avoid further consequences (including jail!), I should press 1. Pulled over, pressed 1, a female voice greeted me and asked for personal data. I didn't give any, and asked if there is a number I can call them back on. She said she would call me back later instead. Once home, checekd with HMRC, no issues with my status or taxes.
