This number (07379 253353) is printer on stickers that have been stuck on people?s front doors without consent. When you attempt to peel the sticker off, it damages the paintwork. The police suggest you never called the number on a sticker if you need a locksmith as often they are scammers. Apparently the stickers are also used by criminals to identify premises that are vulnerable and could be burgled by accomplices later (Google to find news articles on the subject). Did not get to phone in time to answer but odd time of day (17.15) to call -quick search dodgy roof installation con. I think it?s the same number that called me on Friday also about roof insulation.
Handset showed a local number but was also saying 'International' call. Said they were from Amazon and were talking about an Iphone at which point I hung up as it has nothing to do with me. I then tried ringing the local number which displayed but the number was not recognised.

Fraud, said they were Virgin security. Went along with him for 3 mins, pressing buttons on my landline when he was telling me to go to AppStore. Then he asked about my phone line I said it was BT. He then said he was from BT. I didn’t point out at the start of the call he’d said he was from Virgin. He asked who provided my Internet connection, I said that I used to have the Internet but it broke about a year ago and as I didn’t use it I didn’t get it fixed. He hung up. Total call time, 5 minutes

SCAM claims to be from HMRC. As a former HMRC officer I know they do not make calls like this. All HMRC numbers begin with 0300 or 03000.
