SCAM. Logged as a scam because hung up quick and did not leave message. I get several calls like this and they are all from the same area in Manchester. Too risky to get involved!

Fraud Got a phone call from this number. I answered the call and nobody answered for about 20 seconds. Then a very thick Indian accent said "Hello, this is Jenny from BT Openreach.....". I replied "No your not...your a scammer" and hung up. I know and live in this dialing code and there are no BT Openreach offices in this area. Given the accent and that it is BT Openreach (which I don't even use) I suspect this is an Indian based scam call centre.

SCAM had my name and was trying to get details like age and if I was a smoker out of me. While I was talking he googled the number to see if it’s from the pension company he was claiming he was from. It didn’t come up so I told him it’s a scam and i’m giving his number to the police. He began to cuss me out and said “you’re a waste of time. Go jump off a bridge and kill yourself” and then he hung up the phone. He was trying to force an english accent but was definitely foreign. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM.

Just had a call from someone called Peter, calling on behalf of the Department of Education. As with others here, wanted to speak to my CEO, refused to leave details, wanted her mobile number and got very rude when this was refused. Then demanded that she call him back and left this number. When asked for further information he got very irate, not a nice man at all. I won't be mentioning it to my CEO, we already do some things with the DoE and if this was genuine I know they would give further info.

Just made a payment via login to my Vanquis account. Payment made and showing Authorised. BUT after a few mins, here's/following message was being received. 'Your payment has been declined. For security, can you reply with your date of birth?' I'm very much doubted. then immediately checked my paying card's bank account, payment had taken and left from that account. I personally would not reply to that, I will ring Vanquis directly if there's a true problem. Forget all whatever Scammers say here or what the

Female, Asian accent. Stated name was Crystal. Calling from BT(?) The internet connection to the property would be cut-off in 48 hours unless a PC procedure was followed as per instructions. The reason given - Cyber criminals were using an open port on a PC to distribute malware. Upon stating I thought Firewall protected the PC from such abuse, the call was dropped. I'm presuming this is a scam with intent to gain access to BT account info & PC data.
