I received an automated voice call from this number, telling me that they were from my Internet provider and my Internet services will be disconnected due to illegal use. They requested me to "press 1 to speak to an advisor" but I hung up. I then returned the call from my landline and received an automated reply telling me that nobody was available to take my call. I had missed call on my mobile. I phoned the number from a land-line, and at first there was no answer. It went straight to Vodafone answerphone. I phoned a second time, and a man with a foreign accent answered. I asked who it was but he just said "You phoned me!" He then asked what company I was phoning from. He was quite rude and abrupt. SCAM sounded like a genuine call from Virgin Media about internet problems. Said their server had been receiving errors from my hub. Suspicious when they started asking me what apps I ran on my phone. Even more suspicious when they wanted me to download remote control software so they 'could show me the problem ' Noticeable change in tone when I said I was an IT professional. Hung up the phone and called Virgin who confirmed they'd never ask someone to download software.
