It says this is Clearanswer, a marketing company and one of BTs partners.....comments from the general public seem to suggest otherwise. A very foreign voice suggested my BT contract was coming to an end. I don’t discuss new contracts with a cold caller. When I said it wasn’t due to be renegotiated she hung up...not the sort of thing a genuine person would do.

These people obtain, STEAL, your tel. number from your ip address via metadata. Ever come accross annoying adverts when browsing online which doesn t let you close? ie. Engadget, youtube etc... Weird thing was, this call came in on my company mobile, the number for which is only given out to colleagues and a few family members. Company called to say I needed to renew the insurance for my sky equipment but I don t have sky, I think this is probably some sort of scam.
Indian lady caller saying she's from Sky broadband and there's a problem with my router and she wants to help me speed up my broadband!!
I assumed this was a scam to be honest as they were asking for personal information about a hospital appointment that I know nothing about.
