A woman named Alicia called me today wanting to confirm my personal details that she held on me. I didn't confirm my details but she was a PPI scammer. ringing on local number but said she worked for H A Advisory. I haven't asked for this call and am really upset that she has access to my personal information. Be careful out there it's so easy to do your own PPI don't use a cold caller company you.

It advised me that £79.95 was about to be debited to my Amazon Prime account and to press '1' for further information. When I pressed '1' I was linked to an Indian man who said he worked for Amazon and would I confirm payment for Annual cost of Prime was being debited to my account. I said I had not authorised this. No idea who is behind it, they left no message, no VM. I really don't answer unknown numbers, tried to dig some info about this number first on internet, but no luck so far. Called from a local directory code, so answered it. Female spoke with a northern accent and was quite chatty and trying to engage in conversation. When I asked what the call was regarding, she called me a prick and hung up. Probably spam.

This call was made from an extremely noisy office, where the background noise was so loud that I had real trouble hearing the person on the line. They offered to call back - and did so, but about an hour later. They said they were calling from my phone company about an upgrade, but when I asked them to confirm which phone company, the caller got very annoyed (raised voice) and defensive - and most importantly, couldn't tell me which phone provider asked them to call.
