I was asked to speak tot he business owner so knew straight away it was a cold call to which I said no thank you and put the phone down. To which the caller rang back and was somewhat aggressive the next time stating that I had put the phone down on him and that he would e-mail my director telling him what I had done then proceeded to hang up on me. Having read the previous comment, there is no surprise why he behaved in this way!

A woman with a Middlesborough accent tried to interest me in solar panels, saying she was from The Energy Reduction Company. When I asked how she got my number she said it was on their database & when I told her I was registered with TPS she said she d get it removed - but I doubt it as I ve been called by this number before, though not giving the same company name. On the face of it seems trustworthy - they were calling about a refund request I made to Thameslink . They had the correct dates and details . We will see of the money hits my account ! I called the number back and the recorded message said they were an outsourcing company working on behalf of many clients . So that explains the various companies named by other contributors. They are apparently called Teleperformance.

Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as robocalls, fake wins, scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre. I recommend to block the whole 8439418xxx range... People did someone answer this number?
