Man calling about a medical pendant. May have been harmless but he was very evasive when I asked where he got my phone number (we're not on any lists and don't get cold-called much). He seemed to be reading from a script and looking up the answers, as there were long gaps between my asking a question and his reply. I told him I was going to hang up and did so.
Call center said he was Virgin Media. Indian with a very strong accent. Something about our router box accessing the mother server. That's when I hung up.

He tried the usual of scaring me into thinking was something wrong – this time by looking at event viewer. Constant marketing calls from D2M. It's a complete con. Said I filled out a web page for Green Chef and I qualified for a discount. Considering I'm disabled and get all my meals delivered ready-made that didn't happen. I suspect my details were passed to them from five years ago when I tried Hello Fresh. I've received multiple calls a day from D2MS and I decided to answer this latest one, all from different numbers.

This number would appear to be à Plymouth number. However it is a recorded English voice about payments I have tried to make to Amazon and an International Money transfer.it is clearly a highly dangerous scam and similar to a call I had the other day from a different number with an American style voice. Call from 02034589975 the call is originating in an Indian call centre and the caller asks for name, DOB and address before telling me they've located my Vodafone account (which doesn't exist and my details were entirely fictional). The call is a scam designed to illicit bank details for a new phone contract. I would urge everyone to block this number and not give them any info at all.

It appears to be a scam, as when you answer you hear a recorded message claiming it is from HMRC and ask you to press 1 to speak to an operator otherwise a legal action will be taken. HMRC don't use mobile number to contact tax payer
