Received an unsolicited call announced as "Hi this Gareth at NGP". Hung up when I asked who NGP was. If a genuine call (which I doubt), then very unprofessional.

RP accent. Claimed to be British Telecom who will close our internet connection within 24 hours because they detected hacking attempts unless we speak to them. Press 1 to call them. I put the phone down. We don?t have a BT Internet service.

Contacted me on my mobile 3 or 4 times. The once I answered, at 6pm, a very aggressive and rude male. I cut the call.

I have not answered to these people. Not once. Yet, they call at least weekly. I ve got a years line rental with BT paid for up-front, which allows me to block 99% of unwanted calls (with a BT blocker phone purchased separately, in case anyone was wondering). This caller would likely be asking to speak with Mr Strevitt or Mr Gwendoline. As has been the nature of the calls for the past 3 years. iv had 2 calls from this Indian the first he didn t even say where he was from or even verify my name but he was desperately after my d.o.b, post code etc. after a couple of minutes I hung up and he rang straight back saying apologies for connection but I replied "oh that s my fault I needwd to sync to my pc so I can pun point your location to come and see you face 2 face you thieving con man" and before my next breath he was gone n hasn t rang back since. RESULT!!
