Scam call claiming to be from National Insurance and claiming your NI number is being used fraudulently and you risk arrest if you do not resolve the issue immediately, it then asks you to press 1 on your phone, do not press 1 this is a scam.

Pushy mobile phone sales call and would not go away even after I made it clear that I wasn t interested in up-grading or changing contracts. In the end I had to just hang up. These calls are always a worry as they may phone my mum or elderly neighbours.

Got a quote online following an advert on Facebook. Due to price decided not to take the offer & thought that’d be the end of it. BIG MISTAKE....4 calls within 5hrs & a total of 11 calls in 5 days. Claimed to be financial investigation team, telling me that the have found $11,000 of my missing money. I am British so my currency is British pound sterling. The number cam through as a London area number. After arguing with the man that I was not giving account or personal information to him on the phone he put the phone down on me.

This is the second time I've received these unsolicited calls- the first time was from a different number but it's the same scam. The recorded voice message says that it is a call from HMRC regarding tax fraud. You are requested to press 1 to speak to an officer who then calls you back from a listed HMRC number. They inform you that you owe tax & when you ask for details or question why you've not received any written information they become argumentative & threatening.
