Just called. I NEVER answer calls to numbers I don t recognise. So I let it ring. No message left. Easy enough then to go into mobile phone s settings and block their number !! No more calls from them :-)

I just had an odd phone call from someone calling themselves James from William H Brown ? except it wasn t the James from William H Brown I am dealing with! The number that came up on my phone was 01525 383406 and when I queried who he was as it wasn?t a local number or number I recognised he said he was from William H Brown in Leighton Buzzard. Third call today this one plus 2 others with beginning 016068..... Recorded femail voice says that there has been some illegal activity on my internet - and I will be cut of..... etc. so press 1 to speak to advisor. IGNORE. New twist. If you just wait (that is don't press anything) an Amarican male voice comes on 'Thank you for your response (which has been nothing just to waste their time) ... you are now being transferred....' at this point I hung-up. The numbers are spoofed (not UK town Northwich).
Truecaller dot com shows 447 members have reported as spam. So far 440 calls have been sent to voicemail and not a single message has been left. Suspect these calls originate from a request for life insurance quotation. Google search and another directory site would seem to support that assumption.

Missed call - answerphone recording of the end of an automated message regarding local county courthouse. I rang back - reached a call centre answering as HM customs. I hung up ass I didn't want to give them my name.
I received a call from this number today, it s seemed to be a poor connection or he made out he couldn t hear me. I man with a very strong accent (not English) yet goes by the name of peter asked for me by name when I said yes. He said I m calling from the bank and hung up. I expected they ( whoever they are) wanted me to call the bank at some unknown exaggerated cost to myself.
