cold calls for about 2 weeks now , will only speak with the named person phishing for info, will not hang up

Claiming to be from Security Dept. from First Direct. A scam.

I rang this number back withholding my number and they identified themselves as speedy cash.

Only know the number because I was randomly charged ?99.99 !! Which is the first random I ve ever encountered while Internet /phone shopping I did receive a random info booklet on holidays a few months / lots of weeks before anyway this number was attached to the payment from my account the only thing I can suggest is to report the company to whomever and to contact your bank stating that a fraudulent company has your card details if you do recieve a catalog from them. Saying that there was no other warning

I was called today and it looks like a potential scam

Selling Solar panels, thought it was someone we knew as it is our local area code but when we picked up the line went dead, when rang back turned out it was a for solar panels

Claimed to be BT about our internet problems. There is a big problem, we don t have BT Internet.

I am local to Wrexham and have recently had 4 local numbers that have called me whose numbers I don t recognize so have left the calls go to answer phone but shortly after my answer phone message starts, they hang up. They are probably all from the same organization all calling from different numbers. So far the numbers who have called me are as follows: 01978 638019 01978 638253 01978 638486 01978 638995 I just wish I had bought a better landline phone to block these and other nuisance spam

Called re pension refund of £1000 if aged under 60. Press 5 to obtain details. Get asked to agree to a "consultant" calling back. I asked if this was a sales call and was advised not. I started to say that the last time this happened it was a sales call and they hung up!

WATCH OUT!!! ... they call you on mobile..where there is no telephone preference service. They let it ring ONLY a few rings... so you are not able to get to answer it in time! Then because its a landline number ... you are DUPED into calling THEM! ...& go to landline & ring THEM! This then means "they have not broken the telephone preference rules!!....WHY YOU ASK???? It seems the criminals, who obtained personal information as a result of leaked information from Talk Talk, are telling people their broadband service is likely to be closed down after 24 hours. It is rubbish. I did not answer the call, and got my information from other sites.
