SCAM Fraud Automated voice call claiming I had 2 suspicious charges on my Visa card and to press "1" to speak to an agent. Hung up immediately.

SCAM This number was the first of three (others were 0208 888 7676 and 01782 254545) which I received on 17th and 18th July 2023, telling me I had security problems with users accessing my computer files. I was told that I needed to open my event viewer logs so that they could help me to block the users etc. After playing dumb and stretching out the phone call - I eventually told them that I knew they were trying to scam me - which met with a tirade of abuse - especially from one female calling herse

SCAM Unusually, this was actually an English person on the other end of the phone rather than a call centre setting from India etc! The number rang my works mobile at 10:05 09/05/2023. The person on the other end spoke very well and professional, saying that they were calling from HSBC, and were making me aware of activity in my account that looked suspicious, that money was being taken out by an advertising firm. Called today 21.07.23, Indian sounding call centre claimed they could save me 30% of my O2 bill, I am not with O2, and when I asked where they found my number they said it was from a generated call list. My phone has the function of bringing up the business name when a call comes through, so when I proceeded to tell the caller that the actual call seemed to be coming from Gibb & Evans, he became a little confused! I ended the call and called the number back, to which an English gentleman answered with

Keep getting hassled by these fake phone contract impersonators. You block them, they contact you on another number. Normal rigmarole, offer to cut your bill, then ask you for code sent via text. They have spoofed your details and with the code cam access your account. I gave them the wrong code about 5/6 times before they gave up. I try to waste their time for as long as possible, only pleasure from these calls.SCAM

silent then hung up. Usually what happens is I get some silent calls before the influx of thick Indian accents asking about my phone in the proceeding days. aka fishing for operational phone numbers via an automated dialer.

Indian accent claiming to be EE running a promotion. He ask for some pretty personal information. Name, address etc things EE should already have on file. Did not know the branch he was working from and was pretty adamant to get card info to enroll for the so called promotion but I had already picked up that it was a scam so no information was provided.

07530836343 rang saying calling from my bank, I have two accounts and they did not say which, also rang on my landline which I rarely use. Told me there was suspect dealings and started asking questions. I don't think my bank would ring me from a mobile so I hung up.

Automated voice messaging informing that £500 for gambling + another amount was taken from my account. I replaced the handset after being instructed to press 1, 2 or 3. Checked my account none the less. It was definitely a scammed call.
