it is a scammer claiming to be from BT. I checked with BT to make sure and have reported it to them.

Does anybody recognise this, suspect, phone number, 02392379223, from which I received an automated call earlier this morning? The ‘female’ speaking voice, claimed to be from ‘AMAZON’, and wanted me to give, account, details. Needless to say , I hung up and did a ‘Who called me’ phone number search, which showed it was from the Portsmouth area, I wasn’t aware that AMAZON was based in the UK, let alone Portsmouth. Had a Messenger response from someone who called himself Gary then Gaz in response to Facebook Market Place advert. Further message asked me to message him on 07984645686 as his iPad was playing up. I replied that I did not have my phone and could only use Messenger. He sent 3 further messages without any problem finally saying that he would call and collect the item next Tuesday and pay cash, and what is my address. I ended the conversation there.

SPAM Total Review - life insurance company. Caller definitely had a "British" accent (though I know there isn't just one - he was definitely a native English speaker though) but really didn't annunciate when he was speaking so I struggled to understand him. He backtracked several times when I called him out on what he was saying. Was rude, dismissive and persistent despite me keeping saying I was not interested in talking with him about my life insurance - all in all a pretty horrible experience
