When I asked them to give me details, they become more aggressive and sternly ask you to confirm you have been in an accident until they finally hang up. Very irritating and very unprofessional. I've blocked the number.

This call was made from an extremely noisy office, where the background noise was so loud that I had real trouble hearing the person on the line. They offered to call back - and did so, but about an hour later. They said they were calling from my phone company about an upgrade, but when I asked them to confirm which phone company, the caller got very annoyed (raised voice) and defensive - and most importantly, couldn't tell me which phone provider asked them to call.
Got a txt message "order confirmation. Thanks for placing an order of ?127.49. Go to bit.ly/1KYBlnF to manage your order" I didn t follow the link. Didn t place any orders. I applied for a boiler and got few replies yesterday. I left my mobile number. It s the only way anyone could have got my number within last few days. Can anyone else think of something similar that could have let the scammer obtain their number?

Seems to be some call center, I can see more similar numbers (all the same range - 011724443xx, just last 2 or 3 digits different) reported here already. No idea who is behind it, they left no message, no VM. I really don't answer unknown numbers, tried to dig some info about this number first on internet, but no luck so far.
