Call center SPAM Said his name was Alex, however he had a very strong Indian accent. He said that he was phoning from British Gas!? Although initially we thought it was a scam so I even rang my pastor who assumed the same .Turns out they really seem to be legit and are asking for bank details on the phone as they only have a short time to give the grants of £100 each house to vulnerable peeps on PIP etc I rang their HQ from number on official site and it all seems sound so far.

Legit. Checks out with what is listed on the HSBC UK website. Though the call quality was very bad. Also, you know it's a genuine bureaucratic banking process when they ask for 10 different details to confirm your identity. I swear the support lady could just identify theft the hell out of me at this point.
