01482 293843 called me several times. I called back and got an automated message saying welcome to Vodafone all of our operators are busy right now please hold blah blah blah... I hung up. My broadband contract has just ended with Vodafone and I already renewed it with them on a social tariff. Maybe the call was connected to that. I saved the number to contacts so the name will come up if they call again and I'll answer it to find out. Like many I don't answer withheld numbers or numbers I don't recognise.

We have reported to police and Vodafone!

Asked for me by my first name, (the cheek of it). Then claimed to be from social housing repair, as we all know there is no such company (a legit one anyway). Furthermore, I know that my landlord do not deal with anyone that would just cold call tenants, especially one that uses an asian call center. Text message received - Saying from Royal Mail - "James" tried to deliver a parcel to me on 24/12. This message was received on my work phone, which is not linked to any of my personal online purchases. SCAM!
Scam call saying my visa card (I don't have one!) had been used and they are the Security anti fraud department. This type of scam asks you to press a button and then they will go on to ask you to prove you have the card by giving them info from it.
