Mobile phone spam / scam / fraud. Scammers pretend to call from Currys Mobile department. They will sign you up on a completely different deal than agreed initially with the most expensive phone available. They use several phone numbers some of them on Whatsapp. Also will e-mail an order confirmation from an address that seems genuine. It's not. After receiving the parcel they will try to convince you to send the phone back to some shady residential address. Avoid!

Said they were phoning from Vodafone offering an Iphone14 for 35 pounds a month. Told them I had taken out a contract and asking if I wanted it for 2 months free free iPhone 14. Not a British accent and fast speaking. Quite pushy. Typical scam call just after your hard earned cash. Another number to block!
SCAM An automated IVR message plays informing users of them being investigated by HMRC for Tax Fraud and also a criminal case started by police. Automated call stating that £300 & £1,100 had been taken from my card. “Press 1 to cancel”. I pressed 1 to try and find out who was calling. Was told by a guy with a foreign accent that the call was from London Paddington. He asked the reason for my call and then asked for my full name. At that point I put down the phone and registered this number. Obviously this was a fraudulent call.

Caller claimed to be from EE customer service, told me I have a good credit rating and I was inline for an upgrade, I informed her I was not an EE customer so then she said I must be an O2 customer, I told her I wasnt and she then droppped the carrier on me as I was suspicious.
