Foreign accent, someone called Lisa, line breaking up, trying to sell some sort of service.
Scammy soensos. Called twice in a row. 1st time told me it was HMRC and I owed tax, Totalling 1235.00 Told me I needed to set up payment via Google play. It disconnected, and approx 20 min later called back. This time, told me its life insurance, updating my claim and offering me a payout, by paying a fee. Okay. Sure.
Received the following text from this number: HALIFAX ALERT: A payment was attempted from a NEW device on 30/10 at 11:58. If this was NOT you please visit: https://halifax-payeeverify.com I checked my on line accounts all were fine. I called the number, instead of using the hyperlink has I was suspicious, and was put through to the EE voicemail service. Make of it what you will.....

Received many calls from same number but just the last digit changes. It is an automated message saying that they are HMRC and that a tax fraud claim is made against me, that I should press 1 and talk to a representative otherwise I will be arrested shortly. It is so annoying as to how they get my number, i have had so many unsolicitored calls recently. Who is selling my information, I am so carefull in completing any online applications with my sensitive details?

The number is 02075154063. Said I had been caught on tax fraud. Very dangerous if the wrong person picks up as asks for details. Is a pre-recorded message so more than likely a scam.

A foreign gentleman called from this number 01223 691019, claiming to be from Virgin Media. He wanted access to my modem via my smartphone or computer to make updates. When I said that I had neither he started to get a little agitated. Also kept hinting towards a bad phone connection. This was a call to my landline. I don't know if this is a scam or not, but is very likely as Virgin probably wouldn't access your home internet via a 3rd party mobile phone company.
