Original call number came in as V21309255500012, when picked up and answered, no response, just silence. After hanging up, hit CID button (caller ID) and the new number was revealed as 1-778-555-0161, a number from British Vancouver.

My brother got a call from this number asking for a gas meter reading. He was not sure where the caller was from but a 1471 and internet search brought up this number as belonging to British Gas. However I am not with British Gas but with Southern Electric, for at least the last 6 years. I called Southern Electric who said they did not call for any reading and would not do so. They estimate readings and send someone over to check for themselves. Southern Electric have made a note of this number. I advis

They knew my name and said they were "Quadrangle", this was nearly 9pm. Seen the other comments so I have now blocked them.
I answered but I didn't speak. It hung up after a few seconds. Blocked it just in case.

Think these jokers may also be associated with "Evergreen" as they have a very similar number and rang me within 2 minutes of each other.

Went to fetch partner who wasnt here anyway. Then he said i could help and i said why should i. Became abusive told him to get a real job.

Twice today, Suspicious, we said nothing and there was no response before the line went dead.
SCAM!!Got an email under the pretence that it was my boss! It then asked me to go out and buy 10 copies of £100 gift cards (£1000 total) as presents for the staff. When I asked about payment he proceeded to ask me to pay for it out of my own cash and I would be reimbursed. I told him I didn’t have that kind of money lying about and he told me to just get what I could. He was also VERY insistent on this being a secret surprise. Thank god I realised this was a scam but I worry about others falling for this

Yet another call from somebody telling me about a parcel delivery which I had not ordered and to press one for details. Why do I have to press 1 in order to find out? Rang off and blocked the number.
