Said they were calling (my elderly father who lives with Dementia ????) from Domestic & General, which then changed to Legal & General, then back to D&G, wanting to pay a £250 refund and could they just have his bank card details to check…. ???? Fortunately I was there to intercept. Asian sounding women claiming to me that she is calling from EE, she asked if I have an account with her then when I replied ‘you should know’, she then proceeded to reply with an ‘oh my god’ and then hung up the phone.

Contacted me pretending to be my child who had lost her phone, asked me to what’s app her on another number then asked me to pay some bills for her.

Fraud - claimed to be welsh government doing a survey on employment but the gov know my household is not employed due to sickness and being a full time carer The only companies are HMRC and DWP you should speak to, and they rarely call you without a letter to inform. Or, a letter reccomending to call them to resolve an issue. DO NOT TRUST. They will try collecting personal information.

Call claimed to be from Vodafone retentions department promising me a 40% discount, asked me a bunch of security questions and then asked me to read him the code from a password reset email that he had triggered on my Vodafone account. This apparently would enable him to send me the priority app so I could access 5G calls and VIP features. Alarm bells at this point. I said I'd call him back then checked with Vodafone. They confirmed that this is not a number they use and not to give out any information. SC
