SPAM. The caller asked how I was enjoying my boiler and central heating. I didn’t give her any chance to enter into a sales patter but just told her that I already had a local plumber and that any thoughts of selling me of her wares was destined for failure. This number came up on a pop up box when trying to install a new version of Microsoft Office on a Mac. It said you needed to ring the number for help or you would lose the product. This is not the case and this company has no affiliation with Microsoft. It is a scam to get your credit card info and gain access to your computer. Run a separate Google search and ring Microsoft’s real helpline number if this happens to you. If you’ve already given them access to your computer ring Action Fraud.

My elderly mum got this number of a letter about fraudulent activity on her nationwide account. Seems to be legit.
Not expecting a call from a broadband provider haven t given my number to anyone regarding broadband or phone, this man saying they are EE. Although polite enough, I was polite on BOTH occasions they called, 2.30pm and 19.33. I asked them not to call me again the first time around and I asked them AGAIN this evening, so nuscience calls now. Blocked.

Missed call, your identification as a solicitors number is of no use to me and completely unexpected, so it must be some sort of phishing or scam call. Having had calls from India, from supposed UK numbers, I suspect that some sort of fake number hack may be the cause. Using a VOIP system makes the originators true telephone number unavailable. These VOIP suppliers need to double check the purpose of their clients and prevent scams over the VOIP service they provide.
