Rang me today, when I answered nobody was on the other line

Unsolicited call to my TPS registered telephone from a call centre. The call shut down seconds after answered the phone!

Dangerous scam call pretending to be from HMRC. Threatening immediate arrest for non-existent unpaid taxes unless you give them an immediate payment. Just end the call, don t press any keys and if they leave a voicemail don t call it back. There will be no legal consequences, they re just trying to scare you.

got the following text from this number: There is ?2167.67 waiting to be claimed in your name for the mis-selling of PPI on your loans and credit cards. To get this ASAP reply Info to this messsage NOW I read that they were sending these texts with exactly the same amount ot money to several people, so this can t be serious.

This is a Debt collection company as has been said above, they call 3-4 times and then drop off. They ring for short bursts and then that s it.

Two missed calls from these people in two days,,,i think they have my name as I was on the insurance policy of a friend who DID have an accident about 3 yrs ago,,

This number has been ringing my house 11 times in last 3 days. Once I answer they put the phone down.

A "UK Consumers Survey" call, they have my name, and he just carried on (as if really hates his own job) try to verify my personal information which I ve then stopped him and he simply hanged up. DO NOT SAY YOU ARE THAT PERSON --- From now on, my first greeting to any caller would be questioning them. Now I may get even more spam calls by giving out that they have valid information. The call is from Greenpeace, looking for volunteers and/or activists. They won t leave a message due to time constraints but a simple 1471 check will confirm.

When I rang back an answer phone came on so I put my phone down in case it was a scam to over charge me.

I contacted this number after several missed calls, the company is called Freshstart, from what they said they get your info via loan applications etc, They seem to either provide or find you Debt Management company/PPI insurance recovery and probably other things. I just said I didnt need it and to take me of the call list.

Well, after a couple of days of peace and quiet from this number.. they ve started again, with a VENGEANCE! I have reported them to EVERYONE they can be reported too, and now, im on plan B! FYI if you re on "talktalk" you can set up "last caller barring" which allows you to block up to 10 numbers from ringing you :) and its FREE!! im in the process of setting this up now, and hopefully it will stop all this nonsense! The caller from this number left messages on my mobile in which they said they were calling from my bank and unless i called back they would have to cancel a recent transaction. They are obviously not from my bank ! Not sure what they wanted but I will not be calling back in case it costs me !

Twic today purporting to be telephone blocking service. When I asked how much, the phone went dead. On second occasion told them it was a scam and it again went dead.

It s an automatic reminder of clinic appointments, 7 days before they re due. I get similar thing from my dentist. You can reply with STOP to opt out but I don t think it s a bad idea - my appointments are months apart.
