The number is an Aldershot number. Called and spoke to my young son asking for a Mr Rogers. Rang again the following morning. He was a polite enough guy but he wouldn t tell me anything. Quite obvious it was a debt collection agency. I asked him why he was still ringing when he was told the previous day there was no-one of that name against my home number and actually I had my number for over 11 years. He told me he was going to remove my number from his list. Very apologetic. We ll see......

Cold call, I've had one everyday for the past 14 days from an 0203 XXX number changes everyday. I always block. On the once someone spoke is was about investments.

Anyone know who this number belongs to as when I ring it. It cuts me off.

Received several calls from this no. but never had anyone on the line. When I tried calling back, recorded message said no-one available to take call and to try later.

Spam call. Do not pick up phone.

Accident advice something or other, was called a b!tch when I asked for my details to be removed from their system. Reported to the ICO.

Same call as above to my new mobile no. purchased through O2 - looks like they are the link. Not good if they appear to be selling new nos. from the phones they're selling.

An male idiot called me to follow up on a brochure I had ordered. I told him I previously did arrange for a home visit and these planks cancelled it at 2 hours notice citing a broken down car. I told him that this was a lame excuse - hadn’t they heard of car hire? He kept saying “ we can foretell a breakdown” repeatedly! Ambulance chaser, tells you that you have had an accident, if you say how do you know they transfer you to someone who says he got his information from the police without exactly using that word. Fishing.

Just to confirm, after my previous post I reported this number to the police, who said it definitely is a scam, and that Microsoft would never call you about this sort of thing. These people will generally want remote access to your computer to "fix a virus" or something like that. They show you some files that they know every computer has and tell you they re harmful, which is completely untrue. They then use the remote access to steal from you. I received a call saying I had won a photoshoot worth ?250 for myself and a friend. I never enter these sort of competitions so was suspicious. The lady tried to get me to make a booking but said I could change it at a later date if needed. I refused to commit and said I needed more time. She offered to ring back after the weekend but stressed that there may not be any more places left!
