SCAM A recorded message from 'Crystal at BT technical support' to tell me that they had detected that 'your security has been breached; dial 1 to speak to BT technical support. Clearly a scam of some nature, I didn't bother to dial 1 to find out what exactly.

As far as I am concerned all phone callers are potential con artist so I very rarely answer my phone these days. According to UoB website this number shouldn't be calling for student fundraising so this is likely a scam. "Our Student Fundraisers will call you from 0121 678 1000, but please note that this number is outgoing only. If you receive a call from a Student Fundraiser, they will be able to send you a verification email while you are on the phone to them. This email will come from [email protected] – a University domain email account."

Automated call allegedly from the NCA claiming my NI number was used for illegal activity and it is now suspended. The message then asks to press 1 to speak to a case officer to prevent my assets being seized, etc.
