After a few minutes I rang back, it went through to a voicemail which said it was Crown Glazing and if I pressed 1 then they would stop calling me. Do they think I am an amateur!? Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 1618142xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with pensions, PPI, claims marketing, accident chasers... Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Guys did they call you with the same or something new? I really don't answer unknown numbers and don't want to call them back...

Female, Asian accent. Stated name was Crystal. Calling from BT(?) The internet connection to the property would be cut-off in 48 hours unless a PC procedure was followed as per instructions. The reason given - Cyber criminals were using an open port on a PC to distribute malware. Upon stating I thought Firewall protected the PC from such abuse, the call was dropped. I'm presuming this is a scam with intent to gain access to BT account info & PC data.
