scam: pre-recorded card scam about non-existent purchase

I was asked about my pension history and whether I had a PIP. If I did the government have announced that I should be able to reclaim over-charging, particularly if my pension pot was more than £10,000. I asked for details of their website and she gave me theirs where there is no reference to this. Also mention gov.co.uk (which is obviously gov.uk) and I can find no reference to what she said. Also nothing on Moneysaving Expert, my go-to place for this type of thing.

Debt/ harassment caller.

Scam caller, attempts access to laptop and phone and transfer of money via MoneyGram. They also use phone number 01302 897519

I am constantly being called by this number. It always rings a few seconds and then times when I create stand out, you hear nothing.

They hung up as soon as I answered, I tried calling it back but the number was not recognised.

Has been phoning most days , and sometimes 2/3 times a day , for months now ,surely they ll give up eventually ? We don t answer the phone to any unknown numbers any longer !

Caller says my internet is being hacked. Said they were from Virgin media and needed to give him router info. I told him to get lost (has called three times)

Unsolicited automated scam call purporting to be from BT threatening to disconnect internet and phone service due to suspicious activity.

Got a missed call while at work so not sure what company is but this is a new number so not sure how they have got it already!!

Same as above, pain in the ass rude people un professional, don't trust to be courteous let alone with money

I just called this number as I’d missed their call earlier. Purported to be from inland revenue, saying there was an outstanding case that id failed to respond to.

Looks like Fraud, they were talking about internet connection issue without a complaint Strange.

I figured out what this is! It s when a mobile sends a text message to a landline - I rang my husband s mobile from our landline and a minute or so later got a silent call from this number. Husband s mobile sends out an automatic "I m on the phone will call you back" sms if he s on the line -- and this is what the callback was. Mystery solved! I suspect that other callers are being texted on their landlines by friends who select the wrong number to text.

It's a 'clever' automated call, very sneaky and creepy about a "local energy adviser in my area" - not at all human with a bunch of questions and responses that are easy to spot if you know how. Older people will def be taken in - horrible development of technology!
