Clearly reading from a set script, asking about my home improvements - when firmly pushed, said the 'company' was "Homes Advice". Call appears to be from North of Manchester, nowhere near me. These people obtain, STEAL, your tel. number from your ip address via metadata. Ever come accross annoying adverts when browsing online which doesn t let you close? ie. Engadget, youtube etc... Mine was a survey which popped up whilst online and I had to wait 20secs inorder to dismiss that advert. Enduring the agonising 20 secs. And when u click any of those annoying adverts to go away it wont let you, however during that 20sec period what they do is they steal all your metadata incl. your ip address, pr

I was called by this number and feel concerned that it maybe a scammer: the message - delivered in synthetic speech claimed to be from HMRC and said tax fraud had been committed in my name and I needed to press 1 immediately or I would be arrested for fraud. I did not press 1. I hung up and searched the number but have not seen any negative reports yet.
