Nuisance call - calling about a road traffic accident - which funnily enough doesn t exist or never happened. Beware of this caller.
Automated call from “my internet service provider” stating that illegal activity has been detected on my account and my service would be disconnected within 24-48 hours….Then gave me a load of options…press 1, press 2…etc presumably to get me to speak to someone so that they could access money in some form or other. Indian lady, said she was calling from Aviva. Asked me if I lived at a certain postcode and when I said I didn t she hung up straight away without another word.
A man claiming to be from office of fair trading called saying I had £ 5000 cheque from ppi which they had claimed for me and I had to buy a £250 Ukash voucher and then the cheque would be delivered I questioned this and the caller calling himself Peter McGuire became rather frustrated I said I would look into it and he should call me back tomorrow! O FT website have a warning about phone scams like this!
I missed a call from this number yesterday afternoon. No point in calling them back. Line just keeps getting cut off. Seemed very dodgy. My advice? Either don t answer this number. Or add to your block list.

There are several negative comments with regard to this number, but I have to say that I am grateful for the call as they are in fact a company that are used by dentists that leave a recorded message reminding you of your appointment. I can understand some of the negative comments, but that is not the fault of the company as they can only respond to the telephone number entered and it only takes one digit to be mistyped for the wrong person to receive the call.
