Text message received - Saying from Royal Mail - "James" tried to deliver a parcel to me on 24/12. This message was received on my work phone, which is not linked to any of my personal online purchases. SCAM!

Called by this number on 5th may. I`m told my someone has tried to take two payments totaling thousands from my account. The man did`nt mention my name but said he`d transfere me to another department. If the transaction was wrong. He also did`d mention what card or bank was being threatened. Since I rarely have more than £50 in the bank , Itake it as a case of rotten cheese.

This is a scam number. Claimed to be from BT Internet, ringing about other devices being connected to my BT Hub. (Rang off when asked why they thought other devices were being used without permission.)

I Che ked tge number and it came up as Russian Federation Pyatigarsk. Don't fall for it!

This number has rang me twice now, the male on the other end says, you have just rang this number. Yesterday I told them no I haven't and they asked who it was, so I asked who they were. They said you rang this number and I reiterated I hadn't and they said you have, so I said no I haven't and told them to go away and put the phone down. This is one of numerous calls regarding so called “domestic appliance cover”. Callers have been told to take my number off list but have not done so. Incidentally, I don’t have appliance cover and don’t want it !

If I don't know the number I don't answer, if they are human and want me they will leave a message, if not it's a machine checking to see if I'll answer so they know they have a valid number.
