Indian caller said he was from the Department of Health and asked to speak to a certain person when told it was the wrong person he confirmed the number and asked who he was speaking to as I was suspicious of a scam it told him it didn’t matter as I was not the person he wanted then hung up

Locksmith in Rhyl. My phone rang, I didn't recognise the number but answered it because it was local. They picked my lock to ley me in after I lost my keys and called me back just to see if everything was okay.

took a call from a foreign sounding woman claiming to be from open reach telling me they had detected my internet speed was faulty. It was a local number but she handed me on to a foreign guy who, when I asked where he was based, said London. When I told him I thought he was a scammer he hung up!

They knew my name and said they'd been authorised by the government to handle a legal case against FX Trading. I knew it was a fraudulent phonecall when they wanted ID and statements from me. My phone picked up that they were calling from Rome but the man clearly said he was working for the UK government. Very dodgy!

Daughter answered phone at 17.32. Caller asked for her mother. Told I was out. Said to be from bank about my card being used for payment in London. Caller gave my address and asked for confirmation. SCAM Had a number of calls recently offering a new iPhone. I don't use or like Apple products so they are wasting their time. 2 calls yesterday from 01208 247201 - missed the 1st, but they rang again withing seconds. As suspected, another iPhone scam call. That block of numbers is owned by Franzcom Telecoms in Bodmin, Cornwall. Something needs to be done to prevent these foreign scammers spoofing UK telephone numbers.
