Got called in Ireland from this number. Cancelled my Sky TV subscription because of the sheer amount of crap on it, repeats of stuff that has been repeatedly repeated on a repeating basis. Usual shite that I saw years ago is still being repeated and programmes from last week repeated again the following week or even the next night. Rubbish. 18 Oct 2021 - Received a call from this number stating that they are from HMRC but it’s some robot talking so I pressed 1 to see where they are calling from. A woman answered stating she’s from HMRC couldn’t give me anymore detail, then kept asking for my name when I was called from them? So surely they should know my name. I refused to give my name and she cut the phone off. 100% scam, suspicious. Blocked Reply

I too have just had exactly the same call as others from this Asian guy. I don t understand how these people can still be operating from the same telephone number without having been investigated and taken offline by the Police. Because no scam has actually taken place, Action Fraud don t want the detail, just to record the attempted fraud in their stats. Presumably some people are falling for this.
