Fraud: This was a text received stating someone was trying to change recipient details on an HSBC account and they wanted me to confirm details and authenticity. However, I have not had an HSBC account for more than 4 years. Please report the number to your phone carrier and apply the normal block and spam filter to the number. Had them call me regardsin PPI claims a few months ago, when paperwork arrived they had not listened to me and all info was wrong so threw it all in the bin, called them up and told them not to contact me again. A South African has just called my mobile - WHERE DID THEY GET MY NUMBER FROM? He tried to follow things up but I simply told him that I was not interested, he waffled on so I put the phone down!

This number 01784321234 claimed he was from BT. He said I had internet issues. Once I turned the tables and started questioning him, he became flustered. He started contradicting himself. He hung up once he realised he was being reported as a scam because BT would always call from a 0800 number. Reported incident.
