SCAM - Claimed to be that my NI number had been used for fraud in the north of Wales, and that I should press 1 before legal action is taken against me.
Contacted on WhatsApp. Pretending to be my child with a new phone number due to dropping theirs in the sink. Asked if I could help pay some invoices. When asked to call my home number, stated can not do that at the moment. So total scam.

Claimed to be from National Insurance Bureau and that I had been in an accident and I had ?3-4K to come as compensation. Foreign accent very difficult to understand. Very insistent bordering on unpleasant. Was on Gumtree yesterday posting an ad, sounds likely from other comments that they got my number from there.
Its a trustworthy number as its AO.COM. I bought an appliance recently and they were confirming everything. Unfortunately, the guy was persistent on setting up a domestic and general insurance for £7 a month. Annoying as the appliance comes with 2 years warranty. If I wanted D&G warranty i d go to D&G and get it. Please do not cold call customers pushing for the sale of this its unwanted.
They rang me regarding a survey I had completed, as I fill in loads of surveys I believed this to be true. They said I had won a £20 fuel voucher and gave a lot of information regarding how I can spend it etc. However they then went onto talk about how I could be part of their membership, which costs £79! Calling on personal cell number about 'IT services' and domains I have registered - through my business. Challenged them on ignoring TPS, and fact that they have obtained data illegally since all domain registration detail is now 'redacted' - caller hung up. Sounded like a VOIP line, big call centre by the level of noise in the background and most likely Indian sub-continent from accent of caller.
Annoying no answer when I picked up, then they call again 5 minutes later. If it's a legit company it's a great way for them to have their number blocked.

28 Oct 2021 - Received 3 phone calls from this number , Glasgow based - I finally answered could tell it was a call centre , asked lady with annoying voice what call was for. She went on..that it It was some sort of survey knew my name & address , said if I answered questions would not call again. I asked her what it was regarding for the second time she hung up . Reply
