Just been called by this automated caller saying they are BT and internet line will be disconnected. It then goes on to give you a choice of press one or 2 to not be disconnected or to be disconnected. Doesn’t make sense if they are calling you to tell you it’s going to be disconnected then givie you the choice! Quite funny

Didn't answer the call but have voicemail asking if I have been in a car accident, which I have not. Another cold calling scam company, avoid at all costs.
Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 17092768xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with PPI, insurance claims, industrial hearing loss, accident chasers. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). People did they call you with the same or something new?

Called them back - got automated message about Lotto and to hold the line. I hung up as I am pretty sure this will be a cold caller I am not interested in.
This number is a landline from Swansea, part of a number range 17929177xx dedicated to some call centre - by most users reported as a debts & loans, The Review Bureau - life insurance brokers etc. Probably some robocaller testing if the line is answering. When you pick it up prepare for real telemarketing offers :)...

SCAM Pretending to be from D&G (Domestic and general) about my washing machine cover. Told me the price had gone down and just needed my sort code to identify it was the correct account. Gave him that and then he wanted the account number. Said it had to be done for my protection as it was a new direct debit for the new amount. “What can we do with just those numbers?
