Got a call relating to a credit card payment from my account, I think it's some kind of a scam because my credit card provider has never called me to confirm a payment from my account.

Someone just called from this no. claiming to be from Amazon. They were female with a strong Indian accent. Said someone had tried purchasing a Canon camera on my account last night in Germany. None of my personal details were confirmed with me and they wouldn't let me ask any questions. Obviously their tactic is to rush you in to the "cancellation" process as it's urgent. They wanted to put in the cancellation whilst I was on the phone and sent a 6 digit code by text. The text arrived fro

I was called from this number allegedly 'Virgin media' did not trust the caller so dialed it back to find out it was a residential number whose number had been scammed. On calling Virgin and my bank fortunately they never got anything. Just hang up and block number.

I lady called me saying she had frozen a transaction from going to a offshore account in China. The currency was bitcoin. This was odd as these transactions go to a bit coin wallet then to a debit card that is registered on your account. She did no DPA to verify that I was the account holder. Then she wanted me to download a app I refused so she asked if I have a pc or laptop. I said pc she wanted to screen share. I would do no such things I told her then hug up.

SCAM The caller said he was from O2. The number showed as coming from Bodmin. I asked him where he was. He replied, 'I'm in my office.' 'Where's your office?' I asked. 'London,' he said. Gotcha!
