SCAM Just posted another phone number - same scam. Claims to be 'Chris' phoning from an energy company. Beware - UK accent, referred to BBC and damp issues/surveys. 'Chris' was apparently in Nottingham for last weeks call but in Edinburgh today! Rings off when I ask how my number received or tell him that I don't have any damp issues with my house.
Fraud
Apparently calls from this number hang up before you can even answer the phone. No voice message left. Those who ring back that number to see who it was will find they are ringing a number charging very high rates and is nothing but a scam. They are using several London code numbers which show as a missed call. Don t call them back!!
A very Indian sounding Charles, allegedly from Wales, called saying he was from a government agency and he will send me a call blocker for nuisance calls. Wanted ?1 something a month. Beware they are a fraud. Provided 0845 129 7936 number to call. I think NOT!!!
