Very clever number managed to ring the landline and my mobile at the same time! Didn't answer either as this is the third number this week to try that trick!
The number called from was not 839, the number was 849. the 849 number was not listed. The 849 number said they were the I. R. S.. "SCAM" Was the call from England or Ohio?
HM Revenue and customs recorded message. Suspected scam.
Indian sounding man claiming to be from BT, swore CONTINUALLY after I said he had wrong number - called back times in a row when I replaced receiver swearing and shouting, vile and dangerous.
I answered the call and they just hang up without responding.

This number called a new mobile phone I have. I didn t pick up (I didn t have the phone with me at the time) but the call went through to voicemail, although no message was left. This phone is a back-up which has never either made or received any calls other than introductory calls from O2, the network provider. Also had another call from an unknown number. Has O2 also been hacked, or is someone there passing on numbers?
