Pretending to be Three mobile - was rude and abusive when I told them that I was taking three to court due to previous levels of service, so I knew they would not be marketing me and that this is a scam. Asian call centre using UK phone numbers. BEWARE!
SCAM Woman said I was owed tax back from a PPI claim. I haven't made a PPI claim. Ever!! I hung up. 8
Scam. Claims to be a company that will help you retrieve money that has allegedly been stolen from you.
SCAM 01209707750 Redruth, Cornwall. A posh sounding young man phoned, from telpro marketing medical services. My partner was actually waiting for somebody to get back about a prescription ordered, so nearly got caught out. I really worry about the elderly and vulnerable.
Saying they are o2 scammers
SCAM
This evening while I was at home I received the following text from 07719055214. “Simon attempted to deIiver your parcel today but no one was home. To reschedule a new deIivery date, visit: https://fedex-gb.com” This is a fake email address. The real Fedex website is https://www.fedex.com/en-gb/home.html The people sending texts from this number are Scammers committing Fraud.
SCAM Over the last week I have had calls from this company who purports to be from Amazon stating that a certain amount of money will be taken and press 1 to cancel and 2 to speak to an operator - do not do either HANG UP - Checked with both Amazon and bank they would not leave message like this. Also for reference they also use 0204 520 3908/0204 5203909 and 0208 194 2753. The scripts are slightly different stating that £00 will be taken for Amazon and £1100 bank transfer. Do Not engage with them
Received a call saying they were BT and my broadband had been compromised. Also received a text to my mobile so beware they are very convincing
Extremely Rude
Information
SCAM caller - called saying he's from my bank, quoted some card details (correct, must be on a stolen database) to say that Apple Pay / Contactless are down for 24-48 hours while they do upgrades. I didn't give him any info but somehow he managed to set up an Apple Pay with my card and stole £2,600 from our company account, on payday, 4 days before Christmas. We're now completely skint and can't afford to pay the wages. Been doing some investigating and his name is Tyrell, apparently. Fuck you Tyrel
Lady phoned and says she is returning my call although I have never called this number I think it must be some sort of scam
Went through all the comments, I found some painful, while some were funny. My conclusion is most people can still get scammed just because they can’t read in- between the lines. I’ve be victimized. Now I have a resident expert and a professional hacker who helped me recover my funds and so far, it had been worth it. Hackers easily know a bitcoin scam. knew my 1st name, about 2nd income, JUNK
Getting these weird voicemails from people with a foreign accent
Definite scam. I looked up Starpro - Aberdeen. They call off different numbers all based in Aberdeen and there's loads of people stating that they were scam artists trying to claim to be a phone company and asking for details.
SPAM Automated call Fraud
SCAM Automated voice saying there'd been a fraudulant spend on my card - didnt say what card - for £300 to Amazon and £1100 in money transfer
SPAM? I said, "Hello"; a machine said, "Goodbye"...
