Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. If you answer calls from these numbers you may be charged for Debt Management so buy a BT8500 and stop all of these calls easily. They called today at approx. 18.14. They wait until you say hello, then after a few seconds, they hang-up. When you ring back they say that they are a company blocking nuisance calls, but, I guess if they were, they wouldn t be doing it themselves and they would probably try and sell you something, not just hang-up

A well spoken English accent for a change from the usual child caller. They at least had the business owners name for a change but the usual failure to state their name or purpose was present, my suggestion that the owner had gone to Tunisia for the summer will, no doubt, fail to put them off their mission of calling every day for the foreseeable future.

Advise everyone to do same to fight this despicable practice. Eventually it will be uneconomic for them to try to tax the dumb and vulnerable like this. called me about a "car accident that wasn t my fault", then proceeded to pretty much ignore everything i said, that wasn t on the scrip the person was obviously reading from .

This number called while I was out today. I rang it back later and got a message that it could not accept calls. My caller display indicated that it was an "international" number. Because it was clearly not from Liverpool, I set my call blocker against it. I note that it has subsequently rung again. My blocker rejected it.

My phone was Rang and when answered nothing. Probably called from a computer from scam company similar to pinging an ip address

We didn t get to the phone, first time (last night); second time (noon-ish), it was an instant hang-up. We expected to find the kind of comments that we read here. Thank you for confirming our fears. Isn t it tedious?
